Events, Concerts and Radio Broadcasts
Winners / Gagnants | Submissions / Soumissions | Events / Événements | Awards / Prix | Jury
The winning works from each edition of JTTP are presented by our Partners in dedicated broadcasts (typically mid-month) and concerts throughout the year across Canada and internationally (see this year’s JTTP event calendar below). Additionally, all submissions from this edition can be heard anytime on the JTTP webpages and in Sonus, the CEC’s online Jukebox for electroacoustic and related practices.
Since the 15th edition of the project (JTTP 2014), a new project component spotlights these young and/or emerging electroacoustic artists and their achievements on the Canadian and international stage. AKOUSMA presents the 1st Prize winner each year in Montréal as part of their international festival of immersive digital music. Thanks to collaborations with a growing list of illustrious Partners, all JTTP winners are invited to present their work in concerts and festivals across Canada and abroad:
- JTTP 2020 — MANTIS Festival (Manchester, UK)
- JTTP 2020 — DEGEM — Deutsche Gesellschaft für elektroakustiche Musik (Bremen, Germany)
- JTTP 2019 — RMIT-SIAL Studios (Melbourne, Australia) CANCELLED due to Covid-19
- JTTP 2018 — Sound Junction festival (Sheffield, UK)
- JTTP 2017 — BEAMS’ Sea of Sound Festival (Edmonton, Canada)
- JTTP 2016 — CMMAS (Morelia, Mexico)
- JTTP 2015 — KONTAKTE Biennale (Berlin, Germany)
- JTTP 2014 — Festival Dias de Música Electroacústica (Seia, Portugal)
These public presentations of JTTP works by our Project Partners are an excellent complement to the extensive prize packages offered to the winners, and help the CEC promote the work of young / emerging electroacoustic artists living in or from Canada within various national and international contexts.
